Andy Koh (Flute/ Theory)
Andy achieved Diploma (LTCL Recital, Flute) with the Trinity Guildhall Level 6 Licentiate Diploma in Music Performance. He also has Grade 7 Theory with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Andy was one of the highest scores in the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) in 2007, and was one of the performers in the ABRSM High Scorers Concert.
Andy has a wealth of teaching experience teaching private students, as well as with schools including ACS, Commonwealth Secondary School, River Valley High School, Yu Hua Secondary School etc. He has 8 years of teaching experience, coaching students from age 6 to adults.
Andy also has performance experience with the Philharmonic Orchestra, Singapore Lyric Theatre, the musical “Wicked”, SAF Central Band (Principal Musician), Philharmonic Winds. He also has various recital experience including performing as a soloist, as part of a duet, chamber ensemble and woodwind quintet. Events which he has performed in include the Esplanade concourse series and Yong Siew Toh Flute festivals.
Aside from his active involvement in the music scene in Singapore, Andy also actively participates in international performances. His engagements include the following: Sweden International Tattoo 2013 (Malmo), International Military Music Festival “Spasskaya Tower” 2012 (Moscow), 15th WASBE Conference (The World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles) 2011 (Taiwan), Musikschau der Nationen (Music of the Nations) 2011 (Germany), 22nd Japan Self-Defense Forces Military Music Festival 2010 (Japan), Quebec International Military Music Festival 2008 (Canada), Kuala Lumpur International Tattoo 2007 (Malaysia).
