He has Arts managememt diploma from NAFA ( Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts) in 2025. He also has grade 8 qualifications in bamboo flute (Dizi). For the Western flute, he has been studying under Mr Goh Tiong Eng (retired Singapore symphony orchestra flautist).

He well equipped to coach students all the way to advanced level for both the flute and dizi.

Song Wei has performed in Singapore Esplanade, esplanade concert hall, and in Asian flute festival competition 2024 in Kobe,japan
